Privacy Policy for Febra

Last updated: 30 July 2026

The short version

Febra collects nothing. It has no account system, no server and no network access. Every measurement, family member, medication and note you enter stays in the app's own storage on your device.

What data the app stores, and where

Febra stores the data you enter — family member profiles (name, optional date of birth, colour), temperature readings, medication doses and notes — in a single file inside the app's private container on your device.

That file is protected by iOS file protection, so it cannot be read while your device is locked, and by the app sandbox, so no other app can reach it.

What leaves your device

Nothing. Febra makes no network requests. It has no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs of any kind.

Two things are under your control and do leave the app only if you choose:

Data from children

Febra is designed to record fever for children in a household. That data is entered by the adult using the app and never leaves the device, so no children's data is collected, transmitted or processed by us at any point.

Your rights

Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct or delete. You are in full control: deleting an entry removes it from the file, and deleting the app removes all of its data from your device.

Under the GDPR this means no personal data is processed by the developer. There is no data controller relationship for the content you enter, because that content never reaches us.

Medical disclaimer

Febra is not a medical device and makes no diagnosis. It displays only the values you enter. The optional minimum dosing interval is a reminder you configure yourself, not a dosing recommendation. Febra is no substitute for medical advice — with a high or persistent fever, please consult a doctor.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever gains a feature that changes any of the above, this policy is updated before that version ships, and the change is described in the app's “What's new” screen.
